THINKING OF GETTING MARRIED???
THINK YOU'RE READY TO COMMIT???
HOLD UP! JUST A MINUTE!!
HOW MUCH DO YOU REALLY KNOW ABOUT THIS PERSON - BESIDES THE FACT THAT HE/SHE HAS A DARN GOOD "BROOM" SINCE THEY SWEPT YOU OFF YOUR FEET??
(By the way, aren't WITCHES reputed to have BROOMS too?? LOL!)
As would be expected, there are as many versions as there are theories surrounding the sordid and tragic murder story posted above. One of them holds that the murderer was NOT who he professed to be, and even has an arrest warrant he fled to the U.S. from Europe to avoid. I guess we will have to wait for the trial to commence to know for certain, if this is true or not.
However, because the whole "Mistaken identity/character MISrepresentation" thing is very often the cause of TROUBLE in a relationship or a marriage when one PREVIOUSLY BLINDED-BY-LOVE partner finally regains 20/20 VISION and realizes that OGA who said he went to HARVARD, YALE & PRINCETON hath not even de "FIRST SCHOOL" or that the 5 children living in MARRAM de Virgin's compound "feevah" her sooooo much because they are her CHILDREN, and not her siblings like she said,  I believe it is IMPERATIVE that anyone aspiring to get "hitched" be strongly encouraged to USE THEIR BRAIN JUST AS MUCH AS THEY USE THEIR HEART, (IF NOT MORE), BEFORE they make a decision - even for a "CAM WE STAY" set up, which in itself has more CHUKU-CHUKUs to it than even the most respected, dignified member of the PORCUPINE Community could ever have!! (Just Sayin'!!!)
There are also those WARNING SIGNS that ought to trigger ALARM Bells, Whistles, Trumpets and Clanging Cymbals but which the "madly in love" person fails to hear, see or acknowledge. Common now! You're both at a Restaurant and the poor, timid/nervous rookie Waiter brings you a FANTA instead of the PAMPLEMOUSSE you ordered and he throws it in the waiter's face; and you're sitting there thinking what nah, Mammie??? That that is a sign he loves you dearly and wants to protect you from the dangerous sugar in the FANTA? Doesn't it cross your mind that if you get married and you serve him Fufu Corn that is not exactly at room temperature he just might plaster your face with it, my dear??? If he already slapped you "By Mistake" while you were still only dating, isn't he likely to just beat you to a pulp "By Mistake" also, once you get married?
Premarital counselling is either not even considered or is only done perfunctorily as a "formality" in many of our African communities so that, one of the things I believe our so-called "bush" ancestors were trying to prevent or at least curb when, in the absence of investigative tools like GOOGLE, they frowned at or even banned inter-tribal marriages, is occurring more and more frequently, with couples "WAKING UP THE MORNING AFTER", to discover that it is a LEAH they got for bettah or ndon, not the RACHEL they expected! At least in Jacob's case, it was LABAN, (his Uncle/Fahda-in-law), who willfully played a dirty, BUY-ONE, GET-ANOTHER, "cunny" trick on him. What doesn't make sense is to hear a husband whose backed-by-Genesis 9:7 dream,  upon getting married, was to populate every Nursery School and Daycare Center within a 20 mile radius of his home with at least one "Fruit-of-his-Loins" replica of himself, lamenting over the sudden realization that his wife had had her TUBES, (we're talking Fallopian not Ear tubes here), TIED & PADLOCKED 'ere looooong, because she does not want any children spoiling her Naomi Campbell figure! (Eeeeesh!!)  Sango Pasto'who is trying to "judge case" asks the couple: "What happened here?" And it turns out that they NEVER DISCUSSED the "CHILDREN ISSUE" oh! Oga ASSUMED Marram would want to have children, as wey which craysse woman no want pikin? And Marram quips back with how STRETCH MARKS are just not her thing; And how she ASSUMED that Oga, since he was so mesmerized and enthralled by her good looks and figure from the time he first set eyes on her - in a GENTLEMEN'S CLUB (ahem!!) would want to do everything to make sure she keeps that figure; And how she just might be willing to consider adoption, make e check de mattah first!!! (By dis time, na hold dem dey hold Modah-in-law make e no jump inside faya quench!!!)
BOTTOM LINE: "DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL" may have had some success for the U.S. Military, depending on who you ask, but it is GUARANTEED to have DISASTROUS CONSEQUENCES in a marriage!

Now: You may have a bone or two to pick with Pastor Crefflo Dollar. I would not be shocked by that. I for one do NOT have a penchant for  "PROSPERITY GOSPEL" preaching, and I certainly have a tough time seeing the rationale behind his recent appeal for "200,000 committed people to sow $300 or more (to) help achieve our goal to purchase a G650 airplane whose estimated cost is 65 million dollars." (Source: CNN Online)
THAT NOTWITHSTANDING,
I have to say I strongly agree with what he has to say in this VIDEO right here, and I hope any prior conceptions you might have of THE MAN would not cloud or dim your ability to see the WISDOM, VERACITY and most certainly the HUMOR embedded in his piece!

Hello Aunty Egbe
Easter greetings.Thank you so much for your concern in spite of the fact that you do not know me. I am grateful. Amidst this trying moment my family and I are going through, I look up to God and say I am rich for I have lots of people out there; family, friends, sisters, well wishers. ..
Your initiative to keep the Saker sisterhood through the Saker Pride is applaudable. ...May God Almighty reward you greatly. I lift up M. A. and you in His hands in your bid to assist me.
Words cannot sufficiently express my feelings Aunty but I stand by the saying, dry bones shall live again; it shall be well; Jesus is still saying something; Jesus is Lord;
I really do appreciate the effort.
God bless.
Emade

Dear Aunty Egbe,

Hope this email meets you in good spirits. I am writing to inform you of a recent tragic fire incident involving one of our Saker Sisters,  Emade Magdalene Ewang, of the graduating class of 2000/2002. It all happened in the early hours of Friday, March 25, 2016, right around 12:05am, at Emade's residence in Molyko, Buea. On this early fateful morning, Emade, her mum (PIONEER Ms Victoria Ndando), and niece, Quinta, were in the living room working on some cake orders. Emade’s 7 year old daughter, Réa, was also in the living room at that time. The nanny, Goodness, was asleep as she was suffering from malaria. The cake baking was going very smoothly as usual, when all of a sudden, Emade’s 5 year old son, Nathan, who went in to sleep in Emade’s room, came out of the room a few minutes later with his hands on his head. When asked what happened and Nathan could not utter a word, they turned towards the room and noticed smoke coming out of the room. They then rushed to the room and saw that the whole room was ablaze and could hardly get into the room. At this point, Emade and her household knew they were all in danger if they did not immediately flee from the apartment since the fire was rapidly spreading to other parts of the apartment. So they immediately sought the front door to escape but the door would not open. In their helpless state, they began crying out loud for help and God in His infinite mercy, sent an angel (Emade's neighbor) to come to their rescue. This neighbor was able to break the door open from outside, and that’s how the lives of Emade, her mum (Ms Victoria Ndando), 2 kids (Réa and Nathan), niece (Quinta), and nanny (Goodness) were saved. Praise God!!!. We thank God no lives were lost. However, Emade and her household lost EVERYTHING they called their own as a result of this unfortunate fire incident. The only items they took out of the apartment were the clothes they had on, Emade's purse and cell phones. I have attached pictures and a video of the burnt apartment. Please let us put Emade and her household in our thoughts and prayers. She will greatly appreciate any form of support.
She can be reached at:+237 6 77 82 26 20  Email: emade.cakes@yahoo.com
Sincerely,
M.A.

HOPE ACADEMY - BULU, BUEA
CARAT-CAT, Dr. JULIUS ESUNGE & TEAM POISED TO MAKE A LASTING IMPRESSION!

NATION BUILDING FROM THE BOTTOM UP...
Complaining, Grumbling, Cursing & Rioting are all natural and common ways to react when we think things are not going as they should be. PRAYERS in accordance with scriptures such as 2 Chronicles 7:14 which states: "If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.", are certainly important. Some choose to take POLITICAL action, usually with limited results - if any at all. However, if everyone stopped at just the Grumbling and/or Praying, or waited for a political "wind of change" to "blow over", and no one took any DIRECT CONCRETE ACTION, obviously, conditions would remain the same - to the detriment of all - but particularly of Cameroon's CHILDREN, who are the nation's FUTURE!

Whitney Houston, (God rest her troubled soul), was no prophet or philosopher BUT the words she sang in her song "THE GREATEST LOVE OF ALL" are universally true:
"I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be."

There are quite a few people who have not stopped at just "KNOWING" this to be true, but have gone a step further, to provide the infrastructure and the means to actually make it a REALITY! They are determined to not just "teach our children well" from an ACADEMIC stand point, but to also from a MORAL point of view. Here are a few examples ...

During a Dedication Service for HOPE ACADEMY in BULU, BUEA Subdivision on Saturday May 28, Dr. Julius Esunge stated that the school, which will
open its door to the pupils from Pre-Nursery through Class 4 at the start of the 2016/2017 academic year will offer them the privilege "to study in an academic environment that provides education of international standards. He went on to state that the school will be run using modern pedagogic equipment and the number of kids and pupils per classroom will be relatively small to allow teachers to work effectively with learners.
Amongst the Dignitaries present at this ceremony are: Senator Charles Mbella Moki, Professor Sammy Chumbow former Rector of the Yaounde I University, and 3 SAKERETTE MEMBERS OF CAMEROON'S JUDICIAL SYSTEM: Barrister Lucy Muma Chumbow (Class of 1974), Justice Vera Nkwate Ngassa, (Class of 1980) and Justice Beatrice Nambangi Ntuba (Class of 1977). Dr. Julius Esunge himself is, of course a "CARAT" (son of Class of 1968's Mrs. Frida KaleHuseman), and a "CAT" (married to Class of 1995's Eunice Akum Esunge).

CLASS OF 1999's STUDENT #3638
Mrs. LAURA NDIWANE SAKO, PRESIDENT & COORDINATOR OF
 THE FALLEN PATRIOTS FOUNDATION (FPF)
SET UP TO HELP THE CHILDREN OF CAMEROON'S BRAVEST WHO HAVE PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE IN DEFENSE OF THE FATHERLAND
I doubt that there is anyone at all, much less anyone with any ties to CAMEROON whose heart does not bleed when the news comes that yet another Brave, Valiant and invariably Young Cameroonian Soldier has fallen at the hands of the infamous Boko Haram, in the line of duty. It is painful to see row after row of caskets draped with Cameroon's National Colors, adorned with wreaths and the portraits of the soldiers that lie cold within.
What we don't often see though, is pictures of the WIDOWS and CHILDREN that have been left behind; and what very few of us have done, is something CONCRETE to help them! For most of us, that is because we were not sure HOW we could do that.
Well, Class of 1999's Mrs. Laura Ndiwane Sako, herself a military wife with 2 children of her own, decided to do something to assist these destitute children: On Saturday, May 28 2016, she launched the FALLEN PATRIOTS FOUNDATION (FPF), a NON-POLITICAL, NON-PROFIT, NON-DENOMINATIONAL Charity whose mission, as the numerous OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS below state is: "To assist the children of soldiers fallen in the course of defending her nation."
Says Laura who presently works as a "cadre" at the Ministry of environment protection of nature and sustainable development: "That is the only way we can thank their parents for their selfless sacrifice."

Saturday, July 9 2016

Dear Family, Friends, SAKERETTES and People of goodwill,
I come humbly to you this morning, with a rather peculiar request for VITAL ASSISTANCE on behalf of one of us whose name I am not even at liberty to divulge, not just because she wishes to preserve her privacy and dignity, but because there are members of her immediate family whom she has chosen not to alarm with the fact that she has been undergoing treatment (Chemotherapy and Acupuncture) for STAGE 3 HODGEKINS LYMPHOMA since May of this year (2016), and has therefore been unable to work.
I did not know a thing about this myself till I called to check on her 2 days ago, literally pried the information out of her, and talked her into letting me attempt to help her by setting up a Fundraising Campaign. Here is a part of the chat we had yesterday, (Friday, July 8 2016), that might just help you put the situation into perspective:

ME: Morning, my dear. I hope you are continuing to do well and improve with every passing day. Keep trusting and believing, for our God is able. Still waiting for the document you promised sending oooooh! (I had asked her to send me some kind of medical document I could post - in lieu of a picture of herself, to let people know this wasn't just some sick joke or a made-up-from-scratch scam)

SISTER: Sis, sorry I haven't gotten to you before now. The last chemo taken on Tuesday {July 5th 2017} is really giving me a run. I felt so lousy yesterday and today. Haven't been able to get up from bed until now. Just looked through and the bills all carry detailed test procedures I don't feel like sharing publicly. I have a scan from both doctors I am dealing with. Don't know if that would work. If not Sis, we just leave it to the Divine favor of God. He has been Faithful to us so far. Looking back since March I have been home, only the Divine intervention of God and some close friends have made things happen in our house. While appreciating every help I can get, I wouldn't want your philanthropic help to others to be ruined by the fact that I am trying to be discreet and not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that I do need a little help. Hope you understand me Sis. So I will scan two docs now and send to you to see if that would work. If not, it is ok. Thanks for all you do my Sister. Your good heart and good work will NEVER be covered. God Jehovah recognizes all you do and He will surely reward you even to your generations.

Dearly Beloved: Our Sister is SINGLE and currently UNEMPLOYED, with 3 youngsters who depend on her for their welfare and education. They may not be able to go back to school in September, but they at least have to be FED; The RENT must be paid; TREATMENT has to continue!
I am therefore IMPLORING you to step up; To step in and HELP with whatever amount you can find it in your heart to contribute. It is sure to make a HUGE DIFFERENCE - not just physically, but psychologically and emotionally, because it will let her know WE CARE, and encourage her to keep FIGHTING!!!

I am so sorry I am unable to furnish you with any more proof than the letter from her Doctor that she sent me, (posted above), from which I have blotted out her name and address. I can only assure you that every dime that is contributed will be sent to her. And should you choose not to get involved, she'll understand and so will I, but I hope you will at least make some time to PRAY for her.

If you were born in the VICTORIA GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL, the CDC HOSPITAL in TIKO or the BUEA GENERAL HOSPITAL from the Late 40s, all through the 50s, 60s & 70s through to 1986,  (the year she retired) there is a very high chance that the person who FIRST saw you in your ADAM or EVE suit, even before your own parents had the privilege, would have been MA DORA EVENYE EWUSI! In fact, she is the MIDWIFE who was called upon to START the MATERNITY SECTION in the BUEA GENERAL HOSPITAL back in 1960, where she worked, tirelessly, until her retirement.
Also, if you got married at the BUEA COUNCIL in the early 80s when she served there as 2nd DEPUTY MAYOR, she probably officiated the event, and if you have ever attended, PCC BUEA TOWN then she has either taught you in Sunday Sunday School, served you communion or counseled you, as an ELDER of that Church!!! In short, you cannot have lived in or even visited BUEA TOWN (MOKUNDA) for any length of time and "managed" to not know - and RESPECT her, SOFT SPOKEN, DIGNIFIED, & GOD FEARING, as she has always been!!!!
Well, she turned 90 on March 16, and her family decided to CELEBRATE the MILESTONE with befitting POMP on Sunday, December 18 2016 !!!!! CONGRATULATIONS, AUNTY DORA! GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU!!!

Happy New Year to every one out there. May this year be a year full of Divine Favor and Divine Accomplishments, In The Mighty Name of Jesus; for If the Almighty is with you, who can be against you????

Pheeeew, its been a tedious journey, full of fear and uncertainty. As I reflect back, one question comes to mind

“Who am I that Thou art mindful of me”? But then the answer comes right up. He knew me even before I was conceived in my mother’s belly. He knows every strand of hair on my head, (I don’t even know that myself), He made me a little lower than the Angels. Best of all, He gave up His precious Life at the prime age of 33, just so I might have a chance at Redemption, and ultimate SALVATION. So YES, He knows, Loves, and cares for me. That is why when you all stormed the gates of Heaven with prayers on my behalf, He remembered me and gave me healing. Hallelujah!

I want to use this same medium through which you all heard about my illness to thank you. The Lord used you all in various ways, prayers, financial donations to walk with me through the valley of the shadow of death. Your kindness to me projected that light at the end of the tunnel which kept me going steadily until I got to the end. I am blessed to have you all around me. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

I am exceptionally thankful because you all donated your money, time, prayers without even knowing who was in need. Consumed by painful treatments and harsh medications, my faith had gone cold, my dearest sister, full of fear and anxiety couldn’t do much either. Oh what could have happened if we were not surrounded by you good people??? My sister and family also extend their heartfelt thank You to all for standing with us during this trying time. Because of your selflessness, I AM A SURVIVOR. I AM CANCER FREE!!!

May the Lord Almighty Bless you all. As you look out to the need of one, so a thousand Angels will be discharged to look out for your own needs. For obeying the commandment of loving one another and praying for one another, May we all not miss the heavenly train. I leave you with this song from Saker Baptist College:

At the close of the day, when you kneel to pray,
Will you remember me?
I need help every day, this is why I pray,
Will you remember me?

When I pray, I will pray for you,
For you need His Love and His care.
When I pray, I will pray for you,
I will whisper your name in my prayer.

Shalom.

The YOUNG GIRLS in GHANA that CLASS OF 1988's BISHOP BERYL NALOWA ESEMBE has taken upon herself to assist have more than their fair share of "KONGO" ISSUES, and their plight goes way beyond "mundane" stains on their clothing to mammoth issues like PROSTITUTION, HUMAN TRAFFICKING & CHILD/FORCED MARRIAGE!
How and Why? Here's how Nalowa explains the situation:
They cannot afford sanitary towels month after month, so they miss school when they have their period. When a girl misses school for 5-7 days a month, and has to miss classes like this every month of the term, they can hardly catch up with the other boys in class. So the fail exams, get discouraged and eventually choose not to bother at all. I brought one to live with me ; she was 22 years old and was in Form 3 because she has been failing exams. Why? Sometimes examination week is when she has her menses.
When girls like this drop out of school and stay home, they become potential victims for early and forced marriages. Some of the girls get into prostitution due to idleness and search for money. Farming with parents is another activity they are engaged in and most early marriages are arranged because the young girl knows how to do farm work. Human traffickers are also very versed about this and they visit places like this to get victims for "within the border' trafficking and child labor. Girls are used to settle debts by making them marry their parents creditors. And all of this occurs as a result of their dropping out of school because they cannot go to school when they are menstruating.
So, WHAT, you may ask, has Nalowa done to remedy the situation? She got herself a SEWING MACHINE and got to work FABRICATING REUSABLE, ECO-FRIENDLY, ODOR-FREE SANITARY TOWELS!!!
SO, WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP???
GLAD YOU ASKED!!!!
YOU CAN ...
1) Sponsor production for (a) certain village(s):
This is not limited to Ghana as they can be sent by post. Minimum order is 120 USD which will manufacture 40 pads (excluding postage to country) as this is for charity alone.

2) Buy for yourself or for Family/Friends. They are eco-friendly . No heat. No rash. No smells. Handy in case of emergency menstruation (the period/"Mbra") that shows up without notice)

On March 11 2017they are going to distribute to the prisons. There are 60 women in prison and they have no money to purchase pads.
People can  donate so that each woman may have about 7 pads.

TRUTH IS, even this far into the 21st Century, and especially in my beloved continent, AFRICA, it is still very much TABOO and "SCANDALOUS" to talk openly, frankly and, worse still, PERSONALLY, about 2 issues that affect a lot of people, especially WOMEN: HIV/AIDS and DOMESTIC ABUSE!
The Embarrassment, the Shame, and the Stigma that shroud these 2 "plagues" often prevent those affected - both directly and indirectly, from even admitting that they are victims in the first place. Consequently, they are dying - in increasing numbers, IN SILENCE.
That is certainly NOT a happy state of affairs and these 2 YOUNG LADIES - Ms MPUMI NOBIVA (a 23 year old AIDS ORPHAN herself and PIONEER GRADUATE of the OPRAH WINFREY ACADEMY FOR GIRLS IN SOUTH AFRICA) and Ms MONGAI FANKAM, (a well-established PHILANTHROPIST at age 13), both of whom I am proud to call my "daughters", have decided to DO SOMETHING about it! First in SOUTH AFRICA (JULY 29th 2017) and then in CAMEROON next year, (2018).

They have already started a vigorous campaign not just on social media but "ON THE GROUND" in South Africa and I am both humbled and honored to be one of their designated "AMBASSADORS" to help raise funds to tackle both scourges.

So, literally SHAMED INTO ACTION by these 2 GIRLS, I have set up a GOFUNDME Campaign to help them raise the FUNDS they need for these 2 projects, and it is my SINCERE HOPE & PRAYER, that you will, once again, find it in your heart to DONATE WHATEVER AMOUNT YOU CAN. THANK YOU & GOD BLESS!!!

A MOTHER'S PLEA FOR HER SON!
My Dear Brothers, Sisters, Sakerettes, Classmates and People of Compassion & Goodwill!
PLEASE, read this excerpt from an email I received from my Sister-Friend - ELVIRE BIYE, a Saker Baptist College Graduating Class of 1981 Classmate whom I have known for over 40 years. It left me HEARTBROKEN, and with no other choice but to start this campaign on her and her son's behalf.

“My son Yannick, (now 22), who went to South Africa suddenly developed a complication on his right abdominal side. Initially, it was thought that it was appendicitis, but when blood was found in his urine, he was admitted in hospital on the 8th of May 2017. Since then it has been a terrible nightmare. The family has put everything together for the various tests, 3 scans, various painkillers and then, in June, we were served with the bill attached below for R72880. We managed to pay R22000 so they could continue treatment. He was then readmitted after one week as the pain became unbearable. Light doses of morphine were administered and all the various tests were repeated with two biopsies conducted. With a double operation needed to remove the obstruction at the renal vein and clear the kidney and urethra from the tumor; we need your support, prayers especially. For my son's surgery in Johannesburg. I need to raise R145,200 without a previous plan. Anything from you will be of great help if you can.
Thanks and may God bless you'
Elvire

Kind Ladies & Gentlemen, the amount she mentions is the equivalent of a little over 11,000.00 U.S. Dollars, hence the target amount for this campaign.
At a time like this when all, if not most of you are overwhelmed with demands and preoccupations of your own, the last thing Elvire or I would have wanted to do is put one more thing on your "TO DO" list BUT, with YANNICK'S VERY LIFE on the balance, we really do not have a choice.
PLEASE HELP with whatever it is you find it in your heart and soul to give!
GOD BLESS YOU!
Help spread the word!
As God would have it, the APPEAL posted above resulted in this SENT-FROM-HEAVEN intervention by Class of 1969's Dr. STELLA NWIGWE ANYANGWE:
Dear Egbe, please send me the hospital bill and the gofundme link, by email, so I can share it with EXSSA-South Africa members, to see if we can help! What a tragic story! Also send phone number of Elvire in Johannesburg, so we can call/visit her. Many thanks.
The information she requested of me by was promptly sent to her and ExSSA-SOUTH AFRICA , and the "SEE IF WE CAN HELP" PROMISE stated above, in turn resulted in the pictures you see below!!!
YES, YES, YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right there on the left is a picture of Mrs. BIH FOMUKONG ATANGA, Dynamic President of ExSSA-SOUTH AFRICA and Dr. STELLA ANYANGWE, ExSSA-SOUTH AFRICA's distinguished Adviser, visiting our TALL & HANDSOME 22 year old son YANNICK!!! And trust me! They went "armed" with a bouquet, card/envelope and box of goodies!!!!! (No empty-hand about it all-at all!!)
And in the second picture, they are joined by the AWESOME COUPLE in whose care our Sister, Elvire left Yannick when she went back to Cameroon to raise funds for Yannick's treatment. (Both pictures were taken on this past SATURDAY, August 26 2017!!!!)
The only reason you don't see a saintly HALO over each of their heads is because Ma SakerPride hath not (yet) the PHOTOSHOP SKILLS to perform that feat!!!!
GOD BLESS THEM and GOD BLESS YOU ALL - PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE DONORS!!!!
When you pray, will you pray for me,
For I need His Love and His care.
When you pray, will you pray for me,
Will you whisper my name in your prayer?
At the close of the day, when I kneel to pray,
I will remember you.
You need help everyday, this is why I pray
I will remember you.
Yannick's doctor confirmed on the 31 of August 2017, that the kidney surgery, (the first phase of his treatment), was successful. (PRAISE GOD). The next follow up phase was then needed to be embarked upon immediately and because it was going take three weeks to a month for it to commence in Johannesburg, Yannick was transferred, with his kind doctor's approval and the INVALUABLE assistance of Doctors STELLA ANYANGWE ('69) and DORA SHU MBANYA, to YAOUNDE to pursue his treatment at the General Hospital. Yannick, who was sent off BLESSED & LOADED with RAND, DOLLARS & CFA courtesy of ExSSA-S.A. (See Picture), is therefore back home and underwent his first treatment session on September 5th 2017. His next treatment session is scheduled for the end of this month (September 2017), so PLEASE keep him, his Mom and the attending physicians in your prayers!!!
As Elvire herself says:
We thank everyone for the gestures, the thoughts, the kisses, hugs and calls we have received, most of all the financial support and the prayers, you have all kindly and freely given to us. May the Lord remember and count it for you. To God be the Glory.

Family offers reward for finding missing brother

Niel Terblanche

The desperation of a family to find their brother, the 37-year-old Mark Mokosso, the man that disappeared without a trace at the Brandberg almost two weeks ago, compelled them to offer a reward of N$150 000 to anyone who can find him alive after the search sadly had to be officially called off.
Over the past twelve days the search covered 750 square kilometres in the desolate area just south of the Brandberg Mountain. Members of the Namibian Police’s Special Reserve Force, Special field Force, helicopter pilots and detectives along with many other volunteers, which included the siblings of the missing man, covered the search area by foot, vehicle and air. The search petered out because no fresh tracks or clues were founds since Monday last week.
Against all hope the search team covered large swathes of land for a second time in the hope of finding a clue as to what might have led to the Mokosso’s disappearance. On the last day of the search the possibility that the missing man might have been kidnapped or murdered was not excluded.
His older brother Roy said on Wednesday after the twelfth day of searching the police asked him where he wanted to look for his brother next.
“All possible options have been exhausted; every clue, track or theory has been explored. It doesn’t make sense to continue the search for Mark without any new information. The search has officially stopped for now, but the investigation remains open.
A reward will be offered for information leading to the recovery of Mark. People in the area genuinely care about finding Mark. We’ve made real connections with people here and we know that everyone from the Police to the local community wants to find Mark and figure out what happened. I could not keep up the physical search on the ground based on emotion.”
Roy further stated that he is convinced that the Namibian Government did everything in its power to find his brother. He, however, said that he will not give up on finding his brother.
“I would like offer a reward of N$150 000 to the person who finds him alive and N$50 000 for the recovery of my brother Mark’s mortal remains. I believe that the search for him should continue. Locals might be willing to look; tourists might be intrigued and if there is a criminal element involved then people who might kill someone for N$100 might have friends that will turn them in for the reward money.”
“If he was killed by an animal or succumbed to dehydration there would be a hat, a shoe, backpack or a body. There is no trace of him. A person just does not disappear without any trace.”
He said that he will return to Namibia to assist with any future searches if the need arises. Roy also said he will not rest until his brother is found or recovered.
Commissioner Andreas Nelumbo, Erongo Regional Commander of the Namibian Police, confirmed that the official search for the missing man has been called off. Any person that might have information on the disappearance of Mark Mokosso or that can help finding him alive or help with the recovery of his mortal remains is requested to call +264 81 776 7076.
The siblings of the missing man will now have to return home in the United States of America to bring the sad news to other family members who have been waiting on news as the search continued.

MARK MATIKE MOKOSSO HAS BEEN MISSING IN NAMIBIA FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS!!!!
PRAY, SHARE, HELP IF YOU CAN!
This Holiday season has been anything but festive for the MOKOSSO family whose son/brother/cousin went missing in NAMIBIA where he went hiking, about 2 weeks ago. Over the latter half of this time period, his cousin, Class of 1991's CHRISTIANA ENANGA MOKOSSO, has posted one distressing and heartbreaking plea after another on her Facebook Page but none so devastating as today's - Thursday, December 28 2017, in which she announced that the NAMIBIAN Government had called off the search for him, and that his siblings, Roy, Eko and Twin Sister Marie would be returning to the United States WITHOUT their brother!
Those of us who read the posts have PRAYED, WEPT and HOPED along with her and the MOKOSSO family, incapable of doing much else.
Tired and, quite frankly, frustrated at not being able to help, I thought it couldn't possibly hurt to SHARE the story, in a "YOU-NEVER-KNOW" kind of way, especially if it turns out that he has been kidnapped!! PLEASE, PRAY, SHARE & HELP IF YOU CAN!!!!
PHOTO CREDS: Christiana Enanga Mokoso (Cousin) and Marie Mokosso (Twin Sister)
Said Marie, (his twin sister), on Christmas Eve:
"met with the police commissioner, investigators that were first on the scene, locals that last saw Mark, and even the President of Namibia. We also went out to the site where he was last seen, and hiked from where his journey that day began. We will be searching with the help of police tomorrow on Christmas day. Their commitment to helping find Mark is encouraging."
Sadly, the fruitless search has now been called off, leaving the family in anguish with many more questions than anyone has answers for.
We're Praying, Trusting & Hoping right along with you all! COURAGE!
